GLADLY  LEARNS  TO  PRAY

Gladly:      Teacher, Thacher, I am so happy!

Teacher:   Why are you happy, Gladly?

Gladly:      I'm happy because I heard your lesson about God never being too busy to listen to me. I really needed to talk to Him, but I wouldn't pray before. I decided He wouldn't listen to me, because I'm just a bear. I

Teacher:   Well, Gladly, now you know that's not true at all. God will listen to you anytime you need to talk to Him.

Gladly:     I know, and that's why I'm so happy. Now I am going to pray everyday and tell God how much I love Him. He always listens to me!

Teacher:   That's great, Gladly, I think that's a good idea for us, too. Right, boys and girls? Let's pray right now and thank God for always having time for us. (Pray with the children.)

PUPPETS  MAKE  IT  FUN

Included in this curriculum is a fullbodied, stuffed bear puppet named "Gladly."  No special puppetry skills are required, as Gladly's mouth doesn't move, and no puppet stage is needed. Each skit is a conversation between Gladly and the teacher. The kids will enjoy talking to Gladly, too. You will be pleased at how easy and fun this time can be!
